Oatmeal Fruit Squares

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups butter cubed


  1. Butter a 9” X 13” baking pan, or line it with parchment paper. (Parchment paper makes it easier to lift out the squares for cutting) Put all ingredients in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut butter into the dry ingredients into tiny bits like squished peas. Press a little more than half of the oatmeal mixture into the baking pan. Sprinkle your choice of fruit on the bottom layer, use more fruit if needed to cover bottom. Press the remaining oatmeal mixture on top.
  2. Bake at 325°F for 50-55 minutes until top is lightly browned. Store leftover squares in the fridge or freeze.
