This no fail recipe makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Quick and easy too!
Yields 3 dozen



1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped pecans
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips


Mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 375°F for 8 – 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool before removing from cookie sheet.
